Process & Timeline

  • Most projects take 4-6 weeks from start to finish, depending on the size of your site and how quickly content and feedback come together. Smaller projects or refreshes can be finished even faster. Larger projects with more software integrations or extensive product inventories may take 8-10 weeks. I’ll share a detailed project schedule once we kick things off.

  • It starts with a discovery call where we talk through your goals, style, and content. From there, I’ll design and build the site and guide you through feedback rounds and revisions. When everything’s ready, I’ll handle the launch.

  • You’ll be involved mainly during the early stages (to share content and feedback) and again before launch. Some clients have a very specific look and feel in mind, and might be more involved in the design process. Some are more hands-off and leave all the design choices to me. Both options and everything in between are great! I’ll keep things easy and organized so you always know what’s next.

  • Yes, I work with small businesses near and far. Most projects happen smoothly over Zoom, email, and shared project tools like Google Drive.

  • Yes. I build with Squarespace (and other user-friendly platforms like WordPress) so you can easily edit text, images, and pages after launch. I’ll also provide a walkthrough video so you feel confident managing your site. Unless we are building something from scratch (which is rare for my clients), it will be easy for you to make basic updates.

  • You do! Once the project is finished and the final payment is made, you’ll have full ownership of your site and all associated assets.

  • Yes. I offer flexible maintenance options, from as-needed updates to monthly support plans. We can find a setup that fits your needs and budget.

Ownership & Updates

  • Every project is different, but most small business sites fall between $2,000 and $6,000. After our discovery call, I’ll send a proposal tailored to your goals and needs.

  • Each package includes design, development, mobile optimization, basic SEO setup, and a post-launch tutorial. You’ll also get guidance on hosting, domain setup, and best practices for managing your site.

  • Yes. Spirit Web Studio offers custom branding and logo design as an optional add-on to any web project. If you already have branding you love, I’ll make sure your new site feels cohesive and true to your existing identity.

  • Yes! Most clients split payments into two or three installments throughout the project. Talk to me, and I’m happy to spread it out more if that makes it easier for you.

Costs & Packages

  • Absolutely. I can integrate Squarespace with tools like Mailchimp, Acuity, Google Workspace, Hubspot, and any other systems you already use.

  • I set up the basics of on-page SEO (search engine optimization), including meta titles, descriptions, and image alt text. I’ll also help you get started on Google Search Console. If you’re looking for an ongoing SEO strategy, I can recommend trusted specialists.

  • Yes! Every site I build is fully responsive and designed to look great on all screen sizes.

  • Yes! My background is in development, and I love writing custom code to personalize your website, add visual interest, enhance functionality, or integrate software.
