I’m Lauren
The designer-developer behind Spirit Web Studio.
Small businesses deserve websites that feel as authentic and powerful as the people who run them. Spirit Web Studio combines my background in design, development, and storytelling into a single creative hub for entrepreneurs, wellness leaders, and community-focused brands.
My Approach
I’m a hybrid: equal parts designer and developer. That means I don’t just make your website look beautiful, I build it to work seamlessly, with clean code, responsive design, and intuitive features that support your business goals.
My process is collaborative, clear, and supportive. I take the time to understand your vision, then translate it into a digital space that reflects your spirit and connects with your audience.
My Background
My path into web design and development started in an unexpected place, studying engineering physics. While I didn’t follow a traditional engineering path, I carried forward my love of problem-solving, structure, and analysis.
I later earned degrees in Web & Multimedia Design and Full Stack Web Development, as well as completing a Full Stack Coding Bootcamp from UC Berkeley Extension, honing skills in JavaScript, React, databases, and UI/UX design. Alongside client projects in Squarespace and WordPress, I’ve worked on everything from interactive learning apps to community platforms, always blending logic with creativity.
Beyond the Screen
Outside of web development, I’ve spent years working in yoga, wellness, and retreat planning, which deeply shaped how I approach my work: with presence, intention, and care. I believe technology can feel human, intuitive, and even soulful, and that’s the energy I bring to every project.
Most importantly, I’m raising two curious little humans who make life equal parts joyful and unpredictable. Motherhood has sharpened my ability to juggle moving pieces, stay flexible, and keep a sense of humor.
